Have to agree with playbook here. Easy to say after Dez runs for a 50-yard TD, but sadly Presby is getting pressure with a 3-man rush and some blitzes so we need to explore the quick passes and middle of the field. I say it every season - throw the TE dump pass often until somebody proves they can stop it!
But in this case, run the ball inside and throw screens and slants (and TE dumps) to get Presby back on their heels.
Quick update - VMI scored again and it is 28-16 Cornell but there is only 3:54 left.

Cole has a ton of potential. He makes some poor decisions, but he’s a freshman. Not a ton of deep ball accuracy either, but he has spunk.

Carlos was throwing on the sidelines after half. I'm guessing coach is keeping him safe. Would like to see him for a couple snaps before next week

No way. If the game was in question maybe. If he was going to play, he would have started. Make sure he is healthy and keep Samford guessing if he will play.

No record for points, but 766 total yards and all those other stats with 5 different QBs leading TD drives.

I was at the game. Gonzales might have spunk or whatever somebody said, but the most talented backup QB is Samuel Cornett and he can make all the plays. I bet he transfers though if he has to play behind Gonzalez. I would if I were him. He threw the nicest ball of the day in the 4th quarter. I think they like Gonzalez because his dad coached at Florida and there is a connection there. Just my opinion.
it was a great win though. I hope we can handle Samford but it will be tough.
